This website is independently funded by community members to keep the interactive nature trail that is linked to this site going.

It's no longer in use by the Ashby Hall Reserve Crown Land Manager (CLM) Board.

Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowlegde the traditional custodians of the land on which we worked to create this trail: the Yaegl people of the Clarence Valley. It was a pleasure to be guided by Yaegl bush regenerators and hear their stories. We pay our respects to their Elders, past present and emerging.

The Ashby Nature Discovery Trail in the bushland part of the Ashby Reserve was created by the community, for the community. This project was made possible with the help of bushfire-related funding from the local and federal government after Ashby Heights was ravaged by the Myall Creek Road Fire in late 2019. We were guided by Yaegl bush regnerators, and other Envite teams, and worked during the pandemic (as soon as this was permitted again). This rewarding outdoor work brought many nature-loving locals together. We hope you enjoy our hidden nature trail as much as we do. Please get in touch if you have any feedback for us!
